Project Background
The school’s sports field covers a large area and is part of a newly established campus with frequent nighttime activities. However, the original lighting facilities were insufficient, posing safety risks. The school administration sought to upgrade to an LED high mast lighting system to improve nighttime illumination, meet the lighting standards for various sports activities, and reduce maintenance and operating costs to ensure the safety of teachers and students during nighttime exercise.

* Power per Light: 400W LED flood light

* Lighting Coverage: Uniformly illuminates the entire sports field, ensuring no dark spots or shadows
Each fixture uses advanced optical design to precisely control the beam angle, effectively preventing light pollution and glare issues, ensuring clear and comfortable vision for athletes. The Color Rendering Index (CRI) of the lights is above 80, guaranteeing natural and true-to-life lighting, which benefits the visual experience in sports environments.

Construction and Installation
To minimize disruption to normal school activities, the entire installation was scheduled during the school holiday. The construction team used modular pre-assembly techniques for quick onsite assembly and commissioning.
Both the poles and fixtures meet the IP65 protection rating, offering dust and water resistance to withstand various outdoor environments and ensure long-term stable operation.
The poles feature bottom maintenance doors to facilitate future inspections and maintenance, greatly reducing difficulty and cost.
Lighting Effect
After commissioning, the sports field's nighttime lighting was significantly improved:
* Uniform light distribution meeting the lighting requirements for football, basketball, track and field, and other sports;
* Energy savings exceeding 50% compared to traditional metal halide lamps, greatly reducing the school’s electricity expenses;
* Neutral white light at 4000K color temperature provides adequate brightness while protecting eyesight and enhancing comfort during nighttime sports.
Additionally, the fixtures start up quickly without flickering, ensuring stable lighting under all conditions.
Project Significance
This LED high mast lighting system not only greatly improved the school’s lighting environment but also enhanced safety and comfort during nighttime sports, extending the usability of the sports field. It supports the school in organizing more evening sports activities and competitions.
